Sustainability Circle: People of the Province

May 9, 2018 | Uncategorized

Introducing Sustainability Circle! This is Embark’s first podcast series. Sustainability Circle is a new Embark podcast series to create dialogue around sustainability stories at SFU and its surrounding communities. Throughout the series, podcast hosts Teghan and Navreet invite sustainability leaders in our community to discuss their work and knowledge in the field. Topics range from zero waste, glacial melt, micro-plastics, and more!

For the premiere episode, we interviewed the young sustainability leaders creating the Melt Movie. This episode discusses what its like to be leaders in our community at such a young age. How do you take climate action as a young person manoeuvring their way in our community? Listen here to find out.

Episode Footnotes:

Sustainability Circle dives into the topic of glacier melt in British Columbia for its very first episode. To discuss this topic further, co-hosts Teghan and Navreet invite young filmmakers onto the show to discuss their soon-to-be-released documentary – Melt. These young men are from the local town of Port Moody and have been travelling around the province to research this topic. Join us as we talk to them about glaciers, sustainability communications, and climate change.
