Let’s explore the art of permaculture! Join us to explore permaculture design principles, then return to the Embark Studio to explore growing seasons for different food plants, collect seeds, and dive into a discussion of food preservation while preparing a small dish to enjoy in each other’s company.
This event takes place on the unceded homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), səlil̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and kʷikʷəƛw̓əm (Kwikwetlem) Nations.
Embark Sustainability events are free and open to Embark Sustainability members which includes Simon Fraser University undergraduate and graduate students, as well as Embark Sustainability Associate Members.
This event will be held primarily indoors at the Embark Studio, room #1310 of the Student Union Building (SUB), SFU Burnaby. The Embark Studio:
We will also be spending some of our time outdoors. Dress for the cold and rain, and if there is a weather advisory we will minimize our time outdoors or adapt to doing our presentation indoors.

Participants who register are agreeing to release Embark Sustainability Society from any liability related to COVID-19.
Embark Sustainability will also provide sanitation supplies for wiping down furniture, and hand sanitizer for guests to use.
