LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
This event will take place on the unceded homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), səlil̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and kʷikʷəƛw̓əm (Kwikwetlem) Nations. These lands that were never surrendered, transferred or relinquished have provided Embark Sustainability an opportunity to nourish our community through its wind, rain, sun and soil. As settlers it is our responsibility to ensure decolonization is centred in all we offer, and we look forward to exploring those efforts with you throughout this event as we reflect on the history of these gardens, as well as the history of this sovereign Indigenous territory.
