Embark’s Community Kitchen – A Spooky Halloween Harvest

October 29, 2021 @ 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Come together to cook and enjoy a vegetarian or plant-based meal, while connecting with other SFU students.

About this event

On Friday, October 29th, Embark Sustainability in collaboration with Her Campus is hosting our first in-person Community Kitchen!

We are very excited to host our first-ever Halloween Community Kitchen, and it is an in-person event! Because of limited facilities, we will be focusing on limited-cooking, convenient plant-based recipes that make use of seasonal ingredients with a fun spooky theme. Oh, did we mention, we welcome all respectful, creative Halloween costumes!

Community Kitchens are a low-barrier gathering space where SFU students come together to cook and enjoy a meal while sharing stories through food. Embark Sustainability will provide all supplies, and you bring a container to pack up some of the delicious leftovers and bring them home with you!

OCTOBER’S FACILITATORS

We’re welcoming this month’s facilitator: Abigail (Abi) Pena, President and Chapter Lead of Her Campus SFU

Abi (she/her) is an International Studies and Communications student currently serving as the president of Her Campus at SFU. She is passionate about helping others through community engagement and is excited to partner up with Embark Sustainability to promote and create dialogue around social sustainability in their community kitchen.
