In partnership with SFU Fairtrade, join us for an immersive journey into German cuisine and the rights of farmers and food growers. Through hands-on cooking and engaging discussions, we’ll highlight the importance of supporting local farmers and fostering meaningful relationships between producers and consumers.

Whether you’re a seasoned chef or new to the kitchen, all are welcome! This event is first-come first-serve until we reach capacity, so we encourage you to register and arrive 10 minutes early. Thanks and see you there!✨
This event takes place on the unceded homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), səlil̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and kʷikʷəƛw̓əm (Kwikwetlem) Nations.

Meet Sarah, a passionate advocate for fair trade and community engagement through cooking. With a love for culinary arts deeply rooted in family traditions, Sarah finds joy in gathering friends and loved ones around the kitchen to share stories and create delicious meals. As a strong supporter of fair trade principles, Sarah aims to spread awareness and promote ethical consumption, nurturing a culture of sustainability and inclusivity within the community kitchen. Excited to share Sarah’s German heritage, each dish becomes a flavourful journey through culture and tradition.
Embark Sustainability events are free and open to Embark members which includes Simon Fraser University undergraduate and graduate students, as well as Embark Associate Members.
