SUB Community Kitchen, room #2125 – SFU Burnaby
Are you a graduate student looking for community and connection? We’ve got the perfect opportunity for you – served with the tasty offerings of Latin American and Indian recipes! Embark is thrilled to be joined by the Graduate Student Society (GSS), the Sexual Violence Support and Prevention Office (SVSPO), and the SFSS Women’s Centre for a unique event designed to weave connections and strengthen bonds between graduate students while enjoying a shared meal.
Through an engaging conversation on food security, we hope this event opens the doors to services and support systems within the greater SFU community. Come learn about the importance of sharing meals in promoting equitable access to nourishing food for all! Together, we can build circles of care, foster a deeper sense of belonging, and support collective resilience.
All recipes are vegetarian.
Whether you’re a seasoned chef or new to the kitchen, all are welcome! This event is first-come first-serve until we reach capacity, so we encourage you to register and arrive 10 minutes early. Thanks and see you there!✨
This event takes place on the unceded homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), səlil̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and kʷikʷəƛw̓əm (Kwikwetlem) Nations.
