In this interactive session, you’ll gain practical skills to start your own kitchen garden, explore the benefits of microgreens for both health and the environment, and learn how growing your own food can be a powerful tool for building equitable, resilient communities. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned gardener, you’ll leave with the confidence and knowledge to grow your own greens and contribute to a more sustainable future.🥬☀️

This event takes place on the unceded homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), səlil̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and kʷikʷəƛw̓əm (Kwikwetlem) Nations.
Pablo Vimos (he/him)
Pablo is an organic master gardener with a degree in Landscape Ecology. He has been managing Embark gardens for over nine years, facilitating hands-on activities on how to grow food, plant and maintain gardening beds, and build wildlife habitats. He loves sharing his knowledge to help others start their gardening journey.
Embark Sustainability events are free and open to Embark Sustainability members which includes Simon Fraser University undergraduate and graduate students, as well as Embark Sustainability Associate Members.
