Join us for this poster/art build and connect with other students heading to the global climate strike at Vancouver City Hall!
Agenda:
10:30 AM – Art and Poster Making
11:30 AM – Clean up and prep for travel
12:00 PM – Transit to Vancouver City Hall (bring your Compass card!)
1:00 PM – Global Climate Strike
Attendees are free to attend the strike or choose to participate in poster/art-making only! If you are joining the strike, we recommend you prepare by bringing ear plugs, a water bottle, snack, mask, and appropriate dress. Attendees are responsible for assessing their capacity and are free to opt out at any time.
This event takes place on the unceded homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), səlil̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Katzie and kʷikʷəƛw̓əm (Kwikwetlem) Nations.
Embark Sustainability events are free and open to Embark Sustainability members which includes Simon Fraser University undergraduate and graduate students, as well as Embark Sustainability Associate Members.
