Embark’s Virtual Board Info Sessions #3

Do YOU want to be a part of Embark’s Board of Directors?

Embark’s elected Board Directors have the privilege of representing the society’s 35,000+ undergraduate and graduate student members, to ensure the work and mission of the organization are in alignment with the sustainability interests of their peers.

The Board works collaboratively to govern the nonprofit, which includes reviewing and approving financial statements, developing and updating organizational policies, and ensuring good relations with the SFU student community, among other responsibilities.

Interested candidates must attend one 20 minute Board Info Session, or set up a call with Embark’s Board Chair (chair@embarksustainability.org). See below for info session details:

Tuesday, February 9th at 5:30pm

Wednesday, February 10th at 5:30pm

Thursday, February 11th at 1pm

How to Apply to become a Board Member

1. Attend a [20 minute] virtual Board Info Session. You have to attend one info session to be considered as an applicant.

2. Complete the Board Nomination Form* – fill out your info, collect digital signatures, and email it to executive@embarksustainability.org

3. Once you have submitted your nomination form, complete the Board Application Form*. We will send you a follow up email within a few days letting you know we received your application.

4. Attend the virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM) on February 25th 5:30-7:30pm and answer a series of questions from the outgoing Embark Board.
