SUB Community Kitchen, room #2125 – SFU Burnaby

Join Amari and Nancy for a flavour-packed evening as they guide us in exploring the intersection of food and migrant labour! We’ll take on traditional Guatemalan dishes while learning about the systemic challenges faced by temporary migrant farm workers in BC.

We’ll be making:

  • Atol de Elote (corn beverage)
  • Champurrado (Mexican chocolate beverage)
  • Enchiladas (toasted tortillas)
  • Jocon Vegano (vegan stew)

All recipes have vegan alternatives.

Whether you’re a seasoned chef or new to the kitchen, all are welcome! This event is first-come first-serve until we reach capacity, so we encourage you to register and arrive 10 minutes early. Thanks and see you there!✨
